From Concept to Reality

At Outfyt, creating a unique and stylish garment involves a process that starts with a vision and ends with a finished product that speaks volumes about the wearer. Here's a peak behind the scene of how our designs comes to life.

The Creative Process

Creating an Outfyt starts with a spark of creativity.

Every Outfyt design starts with drawing inspiration from a plethora of sources to craft unique sustainable pieces that are made to last. To begin the design process, we take inspiration from nature, the runway and street style as well as from art and even music. 🎶

Once we have a concept in mind, we start to sketch out ideas, experimenting with different shapes, colours, and fabrics until we arrive at a design that feels just right.  From the initial sketch to the final product, every step of the design process is executed with care and attention to detail.

We are committed to creating clothing that not only looks great but also makes you feel confident and empowered. We believe that fashion is a form of self-expression, and that the right Outfyt can make all the difference in how you feel, perform and carry yourself.

The Technical Side

Once the creative process is complete it's time to bring the design to life.

The first step is to create drawings that includes every detail of the garment. This drawing serves as a blueprint for the pattern maker and will be used to cut the fabric. The drawing includes placement of pockets, zippers as well as details about the type of stitching that will be used.

The pattern maker then creates a paper pattern that will be used to cut the fabric taking into account the properties of the fabric, size and the design of the garment. Once the pattern has been created, it is adjusted as needed to ensure a perfect fit.

The fabric is cut according to the pattern, and the pieces are sewn together by skilled seamstresses. Every stitch is carefully placed and checked for accuracy, and the finished garment is inspected for quality before it is finished with the final trims such as buttons and zippers.

From the initial concept to the final product, every step is executed with the utmost care and attention to detail.

The Sample

Once the pattern is finalised, the next step is to create a sample of the garment.

Creating a sample enables our team to test the design and functionality of the garment in a practical setting. This is a crucial part of the design process and our team will take days to test the functionality of the item to make sure that the fabric, design and fabrication hold up to expectations. After this process necessary modifications can be made to the pattern or design.

In addition to ensuring the design is aesthetically pleasing, the sample is also used to test the fit on several body types to make sure the design will be flattering and comfortable on as many different body shapes as possible.

Once any necessary adjustments are made to the sample, we can move on to creating the final version of the garment in the intended fabric.

The Final Product

After the pattern has been finalised, it's time to create the final product. This involves cutting the fabric and assembling the pieces.

This process is a crucial step in the production process, and requires attention to detail.

After the fabric has been cut, the pieces are sewn together. Every stitch is executed with precision, and the seams are carefully stitched to ensure that the garment will last for years to come.

Once the garment has been fully assembled, it undergoes an inspection process to ensure that it meets the set standards. The finished products are checked for quality to ensure that they are flawless. This process is essential to ensuring that every piece that leaves the Outfyt is of the highest quality, and meets the standards that our brand is known for.
